With Simonetta Alessandri & Adalisa Menghini
In the peaceful landscape of Southern Italy, Simonetta Alessandri and Adalisa Menghini invite you to join a unique workshop blending skill-building and personal renewal. Together, they offer a platform for
researching and exploring movement while engaging in growth and self-discovery. This retreat is designed for dancers, improvisers, and performers but also welcomes anyone seeking a deeper connection with themselves and others through movement.
Refining Focus
Attention becomes a gateway not only to more refined movement but also to a deeper connection with how we feel, perceive, and create. Through the Feldenkrais Method, Improvisation, and Contact Improvisation, we will investigate how awareness shapes our experience of the present moment. A shift in focus can unlock unexpected pathways, bringing clarity where there was uncertainty and ease where there was effort. It also reveals unpredictable and surprising variations in tone and dynamics, allowing us to explore the edges of our consciousness and imagination. With curiosity, we embrace new terrain and discoveries, cultivating the joy that arises from the ever-evolving process of creative exploration.
Simonetta Alessandri and Adalisa Menghini bring over 35 years of combined experience in dance, performance, and well-being to this workshop. Their teaching practice is rooted in the organic
development of improvisation and composition, drawing from the somatic approach of the Feldenkrais Method. Together, they offer a unique blend of knowledge and insight, complemented by their shared passion for creative exploration. Their individual backgrounds in teaching, performing, choreographing, and event promotion shape this workshop, making it a truly collaborative and transformative experience.
